Who is this article for?

Managers and owners who manufacture stock from recipe ingredients

Use Batch Production to consume ingredients at a selected location and add finished stock. Prepare the stock item's recipe before starting.

Before You Start

Check that the stock item has configured ingredients and that the production location has the required ingredient inventory. The dashboard picker lists stock items with recipes.

Configure the Run

1
Open Catalog Items → More actions → Batch Production. A recipe-ready stock item can also offer Produce Batch.
2
Select the Stock Item and review Recipe Ingredients.
3
Enter a positive whole-unit Quantity and choose the production Location.
4
Optionally add a Reason, then review Production Summary and Ingredient Availability.

The screen checks feasibility when the selection is complete. If ingredients are missing, review their required and available amounts before continuing.

The workflow generates a batch reference internally; there is no editable Batch Reference field on this page.

Execute Production

Choose Execute Production only after the availability check succeeds. Crunch consumes the ingredients and adds finished units to paid availability, with the calculated production cost and audit reference.

Ingredient inventory consumption uses the configured method:

  • FIFO uses free availability before paid availability.
  • Proportional uses the current free/paid ratios.

These are the consumption meanings used in Crunch. Check ingredient units and location costs as well as quantities before relying on production costing.
