Who is this article for?

Managers and owners who need menu pricing to stay aligned with item setup

Change Sell Price on the item variation. Menu assignments use that price; they control placement and availability rather than creating an independent price for each menu.

Change a Price

1
Open the item from Catalog Items.
2
Find the relevant variation in Menu Variations & Recipes for a menu or hybrid item.
3
Edit Sell Price and save.
4
Review the item in each menu where it is used.

The menu's Add Items picker shows the selected variation price as read-only and links to Edit price on item page. The same variation price applies across menus.

Keep Price and Availability Separate

Use menu assignments to decide where an item is available and its position. Use the variation to change what that version sells for and which recipe it uses.

A modifier's Price Adjustment can change the final charge when chosen. It is separate from the variation's base sell price and from the modifier's stock-consumption quantity.

Review Costs Before Changing Price

Check the recipe amounts, stock costs and modifier setup alongside the price. A price change alone does not fix missing ingredient or consumption data.
