Use the Onboarding Workspace
Understand the canvas-based onboarding workspace, step nodes, drafts, and go-live readiness checks.
Who is this article for?
After your organisation is created and its onboarding journey starts, Crunch opens the Onboarding Workspace. Both Alex-led and manual setup use this workspace: chat is on the left and the setup canvas is on the right.
Open a Setup Step
The canvas includes Business Profile, Organisation, Locations, Taxes, Menus, Catalog Import, Recipes, Modifiers, Team, POS Connect, and POS Publish, plus the readiness checkpoint. A blocked step needs its prerequisites completed or skipped before you can use it.
This is a dependency map, not a requirement to follow the visual order in every business. If you already operate on Square and are keeping it, start POS Connect and seed from Square in Catalog Import before adding manual or spreadsheet catalog data. Review imported counts and link unmatched records.
Understand What Changes Your Workspace
Manual location, menu, catalog, and modifier forms can prepare drafts. Alex can also prepare recipe drafts; the manual recipe step points you to item pages. Review those drafts and choose Approve & Apply before they become live records. Spreadsheet imports add mapping and validation before a draft is built.
Some actions have their own direct effect: creating a tax, sending a team invitation, and starting a Square seed are separate from catalog draft approval. Read each panel's action before using it.
Info
Skip for now is available for optional steps where allowed. Square connection cannot be skipped for an existing-Square seed journey. Publishing cannot be skipped when a connected POS is required for your setup.
Return Later
Use Dashboard to inspect your live records. While onboarding remains incomplete, the dashboard banner offers Continue Setup or View Progress to return here. You can also use Explore Demo Dashboard above the workspace to open a separate sample venue while your setup stays available.
