Onboarding with Alex
Start Alex-led setup, provide your business data, and review the proposed changes in the onboarding workspace.
Who is this article for?
Choose Let Alex Set It Up to work through your organisation's setup with Alex. Alex helps gather information and prepare changes; you review drafts and complete connection or publish actions where required.
Start Alex-Led Setup
If you reached signup from a conversation with Alex on the public site, Crunch can carry that conversation context into setup. For help before signup, see Meet Alex.
What Alex Can Help Prepare
Alex can help structure locations, catalog items, menus, recipes, and modifiers. For spreadsheet imports, review column mapping and validation before building a draft. For proposed changes, open the draft and use Approve & Apply when it is correct.
Tax creation, invitations, and Square seeding have separate actions. Read the relevant panel before continuing; the draft approval step does not cover every setup action.
Info
If you already operate on Square and are keeping it, connect Square and seed Crunch from that catalog first. Review seed counts and unmatched links, then add recipes, costs, inventory, and missing records in Crunch.
Keep Control of Setup
You can open manual step forms in the same workspace and use Let Alex do this to return a step to Alex. Alex prepares drafts; you approve them. You complete Square authorisation yourself, and publishing requires a connected POS and passing readiness checks.
Check for Applied before relying on draft changes as live records. If a draft is Partially Applied, inspect what succeeded before recreating work.
Continue Later
Return through View Progress in your dashboard's onboarding banner. The journey, imports, and drafts remain available. After onboarding, Crunchy is the dashboard assistant for day-to-day workspace data.
