Who is this article for?

Managers or operators finalising stock-take periods

Use Close Period for a finished count, Cancel Period to abandon an open count, or Rollback Stock Take to reverse an eligible closed period.

Close a Completed Count

Before closing, review every included location, Progress, Discrepancies and View Analytics. Check counts, notes and discrepancy reasons. For area-based entries, verify all area fields: a complete badge does not prove every area was checked.

Choose Close Period when the period is ready. Closure starts the inventory-adjustment processing and makes counting controls read-only.

Warning

Closing applies the Stock Take operationally. Review unexpected quantity and value differences before finalising.

Cancel an Open Period

Choose Cancel Period when the period was started by mistake, includes the wrong locations or needs to be abandoned. Enter the required Reason for Cancellation.

Cancellation is available only while the period is Open; it is not the action for reversing a finished count.

Roll Back an Eligible Closed Period

Use Rollback Stock Take only for a Closed period. The service permits rollback only when no newer closed or rolled-back period exists. A period already rolled back cannot be rolled back again.

Review the rollback preview for affected adjustments, items, variations, locations and value impact before confirming. Follow the progress flow while the background reversal is processed.

If the period is not eligible, do not assume cancelling another period will make it reversible. Review the period history and the error shown.

Check analytics before finalising Return to the count for corrections
