Who is this article for?

Managers and owners who set up menus

Create a root menu, then add items and child menus from its detail page. Set location availability on the root menu.

Create a Root Menu

1
Open Menus and choose Create Menu.
2
Enter Menu Name and an optional Description.
3
Keep Parent Menu as No Parent (Root Menu) for a top-level menu.
4
Choose Active or Inactive, then choose Create Menu.

Build the Contents

Open the saved menu. Use Menu Contents → Add to add catalog items or child menus. Quick Stats summarises the contents.

Name and description changes save automatically after you stop typing. Check the save indicator before leaving. The detail page also lets you change status and manage the menu image where available.

Set Locations

On a root menu, use Present at Locations and Manage locations to select availability. Child menus inherit location availability from their parent rather than managing it independently.

If the section is missing, check whether the organisation has locations configured.

Find Menus

The menu list supports search, status, parent-menu and location filters, plus sorting. Use the root-menu filter to keep a large tree easier to browse.

Creating or editing a Crunch menu is separate from publishing catalog changes to a connected POS. Follow the integration workflow when those changes need to reach Square.
