Who is this article for?

Users assigning or reviewing organisation access

Your organisation role controls which settings and management actions you can use. Check the role shown in the organisation switcher or Settings > Organizations before changing access.

Organisation roles

| Role | What it is for | | ----------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | Owner | Organisation ownership and management, including owner-only actions. Ownership is not assigned through the ordinary invite dropdown. | | Manager | Day-to-day operational management. Invitations and some organisation, member and billing changes require owner permission. | | Member | Standard access to organisation resources, subject to location access and plan availability. | | Guest | Limited access. The invitation form describes this role as read-only. |

An ordinary organisation’s invitation form offers Manager, Member and Guest. Use the role description shown beside the selection to check your choice.

Location access is a separate choice

Set Location Access when inviting a teammate. A role does not automatically mean the person should work with every location. Check both their role and location access when someone cannot find the records they need.

Role and plan work together

A management role does not unlock features outside the organisation’s plan. OPS shows some Full Crunch features with a lock and an upgrade prompt. A read-only organisation also has limits on changes even when the user is an owner.

If an action is visible but permission is denied, ask the organisation owner to review it. For invitations and member removal, follow the dedicated team guide.
